Dear Investigators,
The research in the field of neurodegenerative disease has developed significantly in recent years. Developing robust diagnostic tools and biomarkers is crucial for timely intervention, when therapeutic approaches may be most effective. Furthermore, a deeper understanding of the complex underlying pathophysiology is needed to identify novel drug targets and design more efficacious treatments. Current therapeutic options remain limited, often only providing modest symptomatic relief without altering the inexorable course of neurodegeneration. Continued innovation in drug discovery, regenerative medicine, and neurorehabilitation is vital to improve outcomes for patients.
This Special Issue intends to capture recent advances and findings regarding the diagnostic and therapeutic advances in neurodegenerative diseases in order to establish a compendium of work capable of informing.
